Survey: The State of Agile Across the Organization
I’m conducting some research related to the current state of agile adoption within b-to-b organizations — please take 10 minutes to take part in this survey.
My SiriusDecisions colleague Cristina De Martini and I are looking at agile adoption — not just within product management, but across multiple functions/departments including marketing and sales. Cristina and I will present the results of this research (and more!) during our presentation Aligned Meets Agile: Secrets to Putting Speed and Strategy to Work Across the Revenue Engine at the SiriusDecisions Summit 2019 (May 5-8 in Austin, TX).
We’d love to have you join us in Austin (see more details below), but also in exchange for your participation in the survey, SiriusDecisions will provide you with a summary of the results, if you’re interested.
If you’ve benefited from any of my writing and research on product management, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to participate in the survey. While you’re at it — if you have any colleagues in other functions (particularly marketing and sales) who are leveraging agile or involved in agile projects, please pass the survey along to them!
Product Management Events This Spring
My schedule is pretty packed participating in some great product management events this spring; here’s just a few of the places you can find me over the next few months.
- Thursday, March 28: Product School Webcast on Competitive Analysis. This free 30-minute webcast (with Q&A) will cover common mistakes that product managers make when conducting competitive analysis and a recommended approach for more useful and impactful competitive product analysis.
- Monday, April 29: Twin Cities Product Conf. At this one-day conference in Minneapolis, MN, I’ll be presenting “How Can Product Managers ‘Be More Strategic’? Foundational Behaviors of Strategic Product Management.”
- Sunday-Wednesday May 5-8: SiriusDecisions Summit. Our big annual event (in Austin, TX this year!) is the must-attend event for 3500+ b-to-b product, marketing and sales leaders in the most well-respected, high-performing companies in the world today. You can learn more about our dedicated product management track and other benefits for product leaders in this 1-minute video I recorded and on this page which covers Why Product Management Leaders Should Attend SiriusDecisions 2019 Summit. In addition to the Aligned Meets Agile session above I mentioned, I’ll be presenting a few times, including new research on how to succeed with minimum viable products (MVPs) and guidance for product teams to get more value out of enhancements.
- Thursday, May 9: ProductCraft The Conference. I’ll be heading to San Francisco for this first-year conference, where my presentation The Maestro: What Orchestra Conductors Can Teach Us About Product Management will offer up an alternative to the analogy of “product manager as CEO of the product” and share how product leaders can benefit from thinking like orchestra conductors.
